Being for two months into 2019, it’s easier to take a look back at the previous year and pick The Best Business Books of 2018 and the most influential ones. Over the years, a large number of great business books got published, and 2018 is no different since the following three books surely had an impact on the current business community.
In no particular order, here are our favorite business books from the last year.
Crushing It! by Gary Vaynerchuk
Gary Vaynerchuk is a successful entrepreneur, speaker, internet personality and four-time New York Times bestselling author. He first started as a wine critic, growing his dad’s liquor store, and only later in his life, he founded his big companies, VaynerMedia and VaynerX.
As part of his social media digital agency, VaynerMedia, Gary had the opportunity to interact with a large number of Fortune 500 entrepreneurs, and hundreds of social media influencers. As a result of those interactions, Gary noticed a handful of trends and picked a big number of lessons that he’s now sharing in this book.
In his “Crushing It!” book, Gary is extensively explaining to everybody how to make it on social media so any entrepreneur can scale his business by using the internet.

Bad Blood by John Carreyrou
The famous journalist John Carreyrou had a great writing career as part of The Wall Street Journal, something proven by his two Pulitzer Prizes. He’s won many other great prizes and awards thanks to its great journaling skills, and now, he published a book called Bad Blood.
Theranos, the hottest medical startup managed to earn its founder, Elizabeth Holmes, lots of fame and a great deal of money. Elizabeth is considered by many to be the “youngest self-made female billionaire.”
Carreyrou is taking a deep look into the Theranos startup and how its success was built, sharing the truth about the lies, oppressive culture, and the secrecy upon Elizabeth’s wealth was created. As a result of Carreyrou’s publication, Elizabeth Holmes is being now charged with fraud.

Principles for Navigating Big Debt Crises by Ray Dalio
Ray Dalio is a successful investor worth billions, and the founder of one of the largest hedge funds in the world, Bridgewater Associates. When he comes out with a book that’s talking about the economy, you know he’s got something important to say, something worth listening to.
In his “Principles for Navigating Big Debt Crises” book, Dalio is explaining what happened in the last economic collapse, and how to prepare for the next one. Dalio is explaining how he and his team survived and navigated the last financial crisis, and the lessons he had learned from the whole experience.
Considering Dalio’s accomplishments, you know that his book’s got some powerful lessons that might make a huge difference in your life in the next, inevitable crisis.
